Before Wrestlemania 27 Impressions

April 3rd 2011 is the day of WWE Wrestlemania 27 in Atlanta. I’d like to go over a few match on the actual card.

Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes

I’d like to say: OMG WWE is finally doing something with Cody Rhodes (lol). I really liked how he was hyped for his Mania match-up against Rey Mysterio. Performing in matches in civilian clothing with a psycho gimmick is pretty hilarious. This gimmick works much better than “Dashing” Cody Rhodes. There’s never enough psychopath characters. It also seemed like WWE is mocking how Rey Mysterio has actually injured people with his knee braces. I really hope Cody wins this match. I’m not fan of that Midget Mysterio. Sadly, it’s Wrestlemania, the ppv where Faces win over Heels.

Randy Orton vs. Cm Punk

Well there is no Nexus in Cm Punk’s corner. So, we won’t probably get a bullshit interfering ending in that match (That scenario is way too used). I expect it to be a great match between the 2 in-ring veterans. I’m hoping for the Almighty Saviour Cm Punk to win. LOL yeah, Punk’s character is simply too awesome, while Randy Orton remains to suffer from constipation.

Mayo King (C) vs. Daniel Bryan for the United-States Championship

Well, awesome! The US Title is finally being defended at Wrestlemania. When did this happen? I believe it was Wrestlemania 23 with Chris Benoit (RIP) vs MVP. Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan is a match for everyone to see. Having Bryan wrestle at Mania is an attraction for wrestling fanatics. No matter the result, the match has potential to be the show-stealer.

Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Michael Cole with Jack Swagger in his corner. Special Guest Referee: Stone Cold Steve Austin

This is the match where the entire world is looking for: The destruction of Michael Cole. I want to see it, you want to see it, EVERYONE!! I hope for some accident that leads to Cole getting a bleed. That’s how annoying he is.

John Morrison, Trish Stratus & Snooki vs. Dolph Ziggler & Lay-Cool

Oh god, what the hell? Just when we think John Morrison was finally getting his push, he gets to this moronic match. It’s the piss break match of the entire event. Well, Snookie still brings advertisement for Mania.

Kane, Big Show, Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov vs. The Corre in a 8-man Tag Team Match

This is your cool-off match. Bad, Good, I don’t really care about it. WWE.com reports that Kozlov was assaulted by the Corre at WWE Fan Axxess. So, it will most likely become a handicap match-up.

Edge (C) vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship

One of your main events…This is going to be great, but you already knew that. Alberto Del Rio really needs to win the world title, even though it may be a little soon for a newcomer. WWE can’t have the Royal Rumble winner lose again at mania. It would just kill legitimacy of the Rumble.

Triple H vs. The Undertaker in No-holds Barred Match

How to describe this match? A supposed Mania-undefeated Deadman who became a cowboy is going against a man who buried more careers than anyone else (haha). Certainly, I think this match is going to good, if not, great. I say “I think” because these 2 guys have not wrestled in a really long time! Seriously, it’s hard to follow the hype with nothing but talk and no action.

The Miz (C) vs John Cena for the WWE Championship

We’ve seen Cena vs Miz so many times and none of these past matches were actually great. This is a match where you might booing both guys. I don’t want to see John Cena to become WWE Champ, but I do not want to have Miz remain as champ. Miz has yet to have a win without the help of that Alex Riley. Wasn’t Riley supposed to be fired? The hype for the match is kinda “Meh”. The whole program focused so much on The Rock and Cena that Miz became an after-thought. I pray that The Rock will whoop Cena and Miz’s candy asses.
